Known scientifically as Morone saxatilis, the Striped Bass is highly sought after by anglers in lake,river,reservoir environments. The striped bass is an iconic anadromous species that migrates between saltwater and freshwater. Landlocked populations in freshwater reservoirs have been established across the country. "Stripers" are powerful, fast-growing fish that can exceed 60 pounds and provide incredible sport fishing. They are the state fish of Rhode Island, Maryland, New Jersey, and South Carolina.
